When I was 15, my art teacher gave us a list of prompts to make sketches of, with every sketch adding a point of extra credit to our grade. I wasn't much of an artist, but I did like good grades. One of the prompts was the word "pattern", so I spent a night hunched over my bedroom desk with some leftover presentation notecards and a bag of Sharpies my grandma gave me. This led to the creation of the original "Businessman" drawing, with some more funky sketches coming after that. My art teacher hung these drawings up by her desk, and I thought it was nice of her. Some of my peers saw these drawings and said that they'd buy stickers of them if I made some... So I mustered up all of my bus boy money and started having stickers printed so I could sell them during passing periods and lunch. The stickers started getting passed around the school, and now kids were saying they'd by they'd buy shirts if I made some... So I got some tees printed with the rest of that bus boy money and started selling them in the school parking lot. The principal told me to knock it off, so I made this site out of his jurisdiction. This helped get me into art school, where I'm planning on continuing the saga of funky sketches and becoming a teacher to give another kid a chance like I had.
Oh, and the name, "Oddity?" Well I was always just kind of a weirdo, why not own it?
